Elliot's Visit

Yung: This weekend Matthew caught up with his little friend Elliot for the first time, when Trevor, Susan & Elliot came to Melbourne for a visit. It was also a perfect excuse for the "parents" to take a long weekend off for the occasion. We spent alot of time catching up in our apartment and hanging out having yum cha in Southgate.
On Saturday, we managed to take a trip out to the Dandenong Ranges to ride "Puffy Billy", one of Australia's oldest steam train. Elliot had a lot of fun and got to see plenty of things (like goats on the mountains) during the rickety 25 km journey from Belgrave to Lake Emerald. Matty on the other hand took advantage of the bumpy ride to enjoy a ready made instant "milk shake". The kiddies must of had a tonne of fun because on the journey back, it was a case of "zzzzzzz" for both of them.

Elliot also had a jam packed Sunday as his parents took him shopping at Chadstone, sight seeing in the Mornington Peninsula, and later in the night, dining at Nobu restaurant at Crown.

Matty got to farewell little Elliot on Monday, the next time they'll catch up will probably be back in Sydney.

Here are some photos of our long weekend.

(what do you mean no eating on the train ?)

(I don't see any signs saying you can't !)
