Alyssa: I’m currently 26 weeks / 6months preggers and my front load is getting noticeably heavier. I’ve put on nearly 11 kg to date and have cut back on the empty calories (such as those yummy chocolate Easter eggs) because there is no doubt that those extra kilos would be hard to shake off after the birth.
I find that I can no longer sleep on my back anymore due the weight of my belly which causes me to be out of breath if I lie on my back for too long. So far this is the only annoying aspect of pregnancy as I can’t get into a comfortable position sleeping on my side. Yung is feeling the effect of my growing body as I’ve been taking up more space on our bed (from sleeping sideways propped with two pillows on either side). He now complains that I've relegated him to the edge of the bed!
We had the 5 month scan not too long ago and I could vividly remember the moment when the sonographer said to us “I can tell you exactly what you’re having - it’s a boy.” She drew our attention to the screen then proceeded to outline the shape of the baby’s penis with the mouse and what do you know – our son had his legs spread wide open for viewing! Yung nearly fell off his chair laughing because up until that point, I was convinced that I was having a girl and nearly got him convinced of my “scientific deductions.” Before the ultrasound, I took a punt that I was having a girl and went out to buy these pretty pink wraps and blanket. I was so convinced of my scientific theory that I didn’t even bother keeping the receipt! Oh well, they might come in handy the next time around!

OMG you look so stinkin' cute!!! Forget the eating, enjoy!
I remembered I was equally convinced that Alannah was a boy, she wasn't so sharing at her ultrasound! I remember clearly when she arrived we just assumed she was a boy until the doctor said "aren't you going to check?" at that point Jason and I look down and were so astonished we had a baby girl!!! LOL!
Lookin' good, babe!
However, I'm not quite sure how I'll react when I see you in a month. Please forgive me if my response is more ghastly than ga-ga.
All this seems so foreign to me, and here you are living all 11kgs of it! I'm very proud of you :)
Real adulthood still freaks me out--I spent my weekend in a moshpit at a music festival.
Is that a normal jeans you are wearing or maternity?
It looks to me like a normal jeans and if it is that's amazing if you can still fit into one. Hien
They're maternity jeans - I stopped fitting into normal pants at 2.5 months! These mat jeans are great, they're called Yim jeans and you can wear them throughout the whole duration of your pregnancy because they've got a hidden adjustable waistband on the inside.
Hehehe, I must be growing at the same rate. Here I am at 11.5 weeks into all my maternity clothes! You're looking so well.
That's a very nice maternity jeans, where did you get it from? Hien
You can check out the stockist listed on their website at: www.yim.com.au
There's a store on Pitt St in the city called Just Maternity that stocks the jeans: www.justmaternity.com.au
I have to say, the jeans have been my best maternity wear investment to date. I highly recommend getting a pair for your next pregnancy!
I definetly want to get a pair for my next pregnacy! It looks hot! ;o) Thanks for the web details. H.
