Alyssa: Well it looks very exciting and crowded in Melbourne CBD tonight as thousands flock in to attend the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth games. Yung will be heading straight from the airport to the MCG to watch the opening ceremony unlike the rest of us who weren't important enough to be invited to watch from a corporate booth (ie me) or too stingy to buy a ticket (me again) and will have to make do with watching the ceremony on telly. I took a few photos this afternoon showing the lead up to tonight's ceremony. It all look very exciting with helicopters hovering above, news reporters on stand by and the 'presence' of many police officers including some water rats along the Yarra River. I might give my gym routine a miss tonight to watch the ceremony (any excuse will do!).
