More Skiing at Mt Buller

Alyssa: Vivian was inspired enough by our happy snaps of the snow field to agree to spend her second last day in Victoria at Mt Buller. After a 5am start and another 3 hour bus ride out to the top of the mountain, the trip was well worth the hassle with a lot of heavy snow falls. Again, we all took skiing lessons and this time around Yung and I actually improved from our previous fall-over strike rate! Rather than plunging down the ski slope (and in my case - knocking other people over)we managed to "gracefully" come to a halt at the foot of the slopes using the snow plough technique. Yung was a lot more creative with his stopping technique -doing 360 degree turns to eventually come to a halt! Vivian had a European woman as her group's skiing instructor who spoke limited English in a heavy accent(think female version of Arnold Schwarzenegger). With memorable skiing instructions such as "everybody - spread your legs!" no wonder Vivian was hesitant to ski down the slope. Either that or the 5am start and the previous late night out was taking its toll!

Vivian left on Sunday morning - tired, cold, sleep deprived but happy as vegemite from being able to spend a very enjoyable week in Melbourne.
