Easter in Sydney

Alyssa: We experienced our first interstate drive last Friday with a 3am start. By noon, we arrived in Bankstown and was dying for a yummy beef noodle soup from Pho An. The rest of the weekend was devoted to spending quality time with the family and catching up with some friends. It was great to see that not much has changed since the last time we were in Sydney - I suppose not much can change in 8 weeks!

We started feasting the minute we arrived in Sydney and continued until the morning that we left for Melbourne. There was dinner with my family on Friday night followed by dinner with Yung's family on Saturday and luncheons in between with Nat & Sandro and Angela and Mai followed by dinner at Derek's welcome home/second wedding celebration dinner on Sunday night. I must have put on an extra 5 kilos that long weekend. It looks like I might need to resort to a crash diet consisting of bird seeds and water for the rest of the year to shrug off the Easter belly. But why bother I hear you say - when Christmas is around the corner and no doubt there will be a lot more eating and drinking involved then! It's such a vicious cycle.

Thanks again Sandro & Nat for the yummy Italian lunch. And of course thank you again Angela for subjecting me to your experimental gourmet cuisines that never seems to disappoint the taste buds : )
