I haven’t popped yet, still at the 37 week mark but am very much looking forward to being un-pregnant again. The last trimester seems to have gone on forever. Every night for the last 2 months I am reminded of how pregnant I am when trying to fall asleep with a belly the size and weight of a watermelon. This baby doesn’t help the cause as he’s always squirmy around, sticking an odd limb out or jabbing me in the ribs just as I thought I’d gotten myself into a comfortable sleeping position. I’ve put on 14 kilos this time around compared to when I was pregnant with Matty where I ballooned to 18 kg. Maybe this baby is smaller?
Matty’s oblivious to his fate of being a big brother in a couple of week’s time. I try to tell him that there’s a baby in mummy’s tummy but the concept is obviously too abstract for his 21 month old brain. Every time I point to my belly, he’ll think it’s an invitation to poke at my protruding belly button or worst, try to scratch it out with his overgrown finger nails!

Can't wait for the arrival of baby boy#2!!
Best wishes for a smooth labour & delivery.
Sandra (Canada)
Thanks Sandra. This time around I'm having an elective ceasar. Will be interesting to compare the experience with my first birth which was a natural (vacuum assisted) delivery.
