Baby fat

Alyssa: Matty had his 1 month check up recently and he’s certainly growing strong and healthy. I don’t know whose genes he takes after (probably not mine!) but he’s managed to gain a whopping 2 kg since birth. That’s an average of 500 grams a week. Matty now weighs 5.6kg placing him in the 90th percentile band for babies his age. He also likes his tummy time, and we were quite surprised that he managed to lift his head and turn a full 180 degrees at his second attempt. His exponential growth must be due to his frazzled parent’s around the clock feeds. We are now looking forward to when Matty can finally sleep through the night. He currently wakes up around 1am and 4am which Yung and I have been playing tag teams waking up to feed him. Here are some recent photos of our pudgy little fella.
