Out and about

Alyssa: Yung & I went to watch Fearless on Saturday and surprisingly, the movie wasn't half as bad as I anticipated it to be. Kung-fu/martial art genres aren't really my thing when it comes to movies, especially the Hollywood versions. I would rather watch a horror movie although admittedly I do have a propensity to pick the really bad ones. Given I have made Yung sit through so many bad horror movies in the past I knew it was only a matter of time before pay back.

Fearless is another Chinese Jet Li movie with a good story line in between moderate martial art fighting scenes. The plot centres upon Jet Li's character, real-life martial arts master, Huo Yuanjia founder of the Jingwu Sports Federation. There's the theme of revenge and retribution, fame and glory and the meaning of humility and morality. The movie isn't exactly plot-driven, but enjoyable nevertheless. For some reason, I managed to cry through a good part of that movie (yes, a martial arts movie would you believe?). It must be that time of the month.

On a different note, the weather has been warming up lately with the approach of Spring. Yung & I have been making the most of our sunny weekend by doing what I enjoy most - shopping and eating out. At lunch, we had the usual yum cha lunch that left me feeling very bloated from overeating. There is only so much variation of dumplings, giblets and offals one can eat before it all feels the same in the stomach - heavy and uncomfortable. I spent the rest of the day working off my lunch with some power shopping. Do you like the new addition to my bag collection? I got it at Witchery. For some reason Yung just can't quite grasp the concept that that there is no such thing as too many bags...

Nice to see you out and about again. Seems like you've been hibernating during the winter! Cute bag! Never enough handbags... well that goes the same with shoes, earrings, jeans, shirts, watches, rings... hahahaha...

V. cute bag! I haven't managed to go to LV as yet for my fix. Tung has finally grasped the concept of more variety is better. He even brought me a Swarokski crystal necklace the other week which he chose all on his own.

I concur... cute bag.

Here's a discussion question; how do you girls store your handbags? I'm rapidly running out of space. At the moment, I have bags on hooks, bags crammed in a trunk, and bags on shelves. What's a good way to keep them in good shape and out of the way?

My dream is to one day have one of those walk-in wardrobes with lots of compartments, shelving for specific items, an island of drawers in the middle, and a whole wall for shoes and bags...

That's a toughie. My not-so-recent bag collection is at my mum's place; my recent collection will have to make do where ever they could fit around the apartment. However, my biggest bag issue isn't storage, but trying to transfer the content of one bag into another without misplacing or forgetting an item and then trying to figure out which bag I left it in!

I'm pretty much doing what you're doing Angela but I don't keep all my bags. I am very tough on wardrobe, shoes and bags. I cull basically every 12 months and get rid of things. My dream is definitely a walk-in wardrobe too!
